Driving records show the 19-year-old who plowed into a minivan in Sonoma County, killing a family of four, previously had his license suspended for drunken driving.
The state Department of Motor Vehicles says Steven Culbertson of Lakeport also was involved in a crash in Lake County in June 2007. Details of the crash are not available because Culbertson was a juvenile at the time.
About a month later, he had his license suspended for a year for drunken driving in a separate incident.
Culbertson died Sunday, a day after authorities say his Mini Cooper ran a red light while going 70 to 90 mph. The car hit the minivan carrying Johnathan Maloney, his wife Susan and their two young children.
Authorities say there were no signs of drugs or alcohol at the scene but are awaiting toxicology tests.
If you have been charged with a DUI in Sonoma County you will need the help of an experience California DUI lawyer if you want to beat the charge.

Very sad. I fully support the war on drunk driving.

Wow. What a horrific case. Was he driving on a suspended license as well?
