Leon Hall gets off DUI, pleads guilty to reckless operation of a vehicle.

Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Leon Hall escaped charges of drunken driving on Monday when he pleaded guilty to a less serious charge of reckless operation of a vehicle.

Judge James A. Shriver handed down a 30-day jail sentence, but suspended all but three days. Hall must spend those three days in a residential driver intervention program.

Hall also must serve 64 hours of community service, pay a $250 fine and donate $500 to the USO (United Services Organization) The sentence was part of a plea agreement reached between the prosecutor, Hall and his attorney, Ed Perry.

The 24-year-old had no previous DUI convictions and no previous history of alcohol-related issues, Perry told the judge during the brief hearing Monday. Hall responded in court to Shriver’s questions by saying, “Yes, sir.” After the hearing, Hall declined to comment.

Hall was arrested on April 5 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol after a trooper reportedly observed him driving left of center on Ohio 125 in Union Township and pulled him over at 3:11 a.m. A breath test indicated Hall’s blood-alcohol concentration was 0.149. Ohio’s legal limit is 0.08.

When arrested for DUI in Ohio it is in your best interest to hire an Ohio DUI lawyer with experience. Sure it is best not to drink and drive, but what’s done is done. Just look at what Leon’s Cincinnati DUI lawyer got done for him.
