Heroes star Adrian Pasdar arrested for DUI

Pasdar, 44, entered the plea through his lawyer and did not appear in court. Pasdar — who left the NBC drama in November — was arrested on suspicion of a DUI Jan. 27 when authorities say he was caught speeding.

A pretrial hearing in Pasdar’s case is set for March 15. His attorney could not be reached for comment.

The “Men in Black” actor was to appear in court on Wednesday to enter pleas to burglary and firearms charges.

He is accused of breaking into a bank in his hometown of Salisbury last month with a loaded revolver while intoxicated.

Torn has been in an alcohol rehabilitation program since shortly after his January arraignment.

Torn had received probation last year as part of a Connecticut DUI case and also had alcohol-related arrests in New York in the past.

Torn is now due in Litchfield Superior Court on March 9.

Pasdar, who plays lawyer-turned-senator Nathan Petrelli on the NBC drama, was arrested for DUI early Wednesday morning after police spotted him driving irresponsibly, TMZ.com reports.

Cops clocked the actor going more than 90 mph at 2:59 a.m. on the 405 Freeway in Los Angeles, where Pasdar was said to be “failing to maintain his lane.”

According to the report, the police gave Pasdar a field sobriety test after they detected the smell of alcohol coming from his vehicle as they approached.

Pasdar, who is married to Dixie Chicks singer Natalie Maines, was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI and was taken to a nearby jail.

Because the 44-year-old actor reportedly refused to take a breathalyzer, his bail was set at the high rate of $15,000.

In addition to the three years probation, Pratt will also complete a 12-week alcohol education program, three Alcoholics Anonymous meetings a week for eight weeks, and pay a fine.

Her DUI charges were dropped in return for a no contest plea to one count of misdemeanor “exhibition of speed.”

Pratt was arrested on October 17 after she attended pal Holly Montag’s birthday party. She was released hours later after posting $5,000 bond.

“Nas has not been charged with any offense whatsoever, including DUI,” said Mayoue. “The state’s own lab results were negative for any drugs, including marijuana.”

According to a police incident report made available to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Nas, born Nasir Jones, was arrested on Sept. 10 and charged with DUI after the arresting officer observed the rapper was intoxicated.

During questioning, Nas admitted to having smoked marijuana at a friend’s house.

Sgt. Renee Swanson with Henry County police said Nas was arrested and charged. However, she could not confirm whether the charges had been dropped.

Thursday, TMZ.com reported that DUI charges against Nas had been dropped.

The arresting officer observed Nas, born Nasir Jones, as he was participating in a license/safety check Sept. 10, according to a police report obtained by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The officer stopped the 36-year-old’s black Cadillac Escalade and “immediately smelled the odor of raw marijuana coming from inside the vehicle,” the report said.

The officer put him through a series of evaluations of which he failed before being arrested. His SUV was impounded.

“He had a green tongue with raised taste buds and his pulse was raised to 116 beats per minute,” states the report, as well as “eyelid tremors in both eyes and body tremors.”

“Green tongue” is used by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s Drug Evaluation and Classification Training Program as a possible indicator of marijuana use.

After being arrested, Nas was transported to the Henry County Jail for state blood tests. According to the incident report he was charged with DUI.

Nas is best known for his hits “If I Ruled the World,” featuring Lauryn Hill, and “One Mic.”

It is reported that Pamela Bach took a breathalyzer test and blew .14. She was taken to Van Nuys police station where she was booked and released on a $15,000 bail.

Pamela Bach told TMZ reporters “I am remorseful and mortified. I am going through a really difficult time between David being hospitalized and dealing with the divorce.

David Hasselhoff and Pamela Bach’s divorce was final in 2007. Bach also stated that she had been trying to comfort her kids earlier that evening and went out to dinner where she a few drinks.

This is the second DUI offense this year for Pamela Bach, who was previously arrested in March 2009. California laws state that a second DUI offense is punishable by mandatory jail time.

TMZ also posted the update from Pamela Bach saying that she was on her way to an AA meeting last night.

Sadly in just a couple of days time span the daughters of David Hasselhoff and Pamela Bach are in more family stress and turmoil while attempting to aid  now  what seems as both of their parents in recovery.

Police arrested Alexandra Kerry in Hollywood last week on suspicion that she was driving under the influence.

Los Angeles city attorney spokesman Frank Mateljan says prosecutors declined to pursue a case due to insufficient evidence. He says they didn’t offer further details.

A spokeswoman for John Kerry said last week that the Massachusetts senator’s daughter was pulled over for an expired registration and released after a breathalyzer test showed her blood-alcohol level was under the legal limit.

Mateljan says Alexandra Kerry isn’t facing any other charges. The 36-year-old has produced documentaries and has had several small acting roles.

Pratt had been driving home after a birthday party for sister-in-law and castmate Heidi Montag. Pratt blew over the legal limit and was carted off to jail. She later admitted to drinking several glasses of champagne before getting behind the wheel. Pratt was released on $5,000 bail and formally charged with DUI.

Although she has pleaded not guilty to the DUI charge, Stephanie Pratt announced she would be entering rehab to deal with her alcohol issues. Pratt’s lawyer told the judge on Friday his client is willing to “serve a 30-day stint in live-in rehab, to avoid driving until she gets a valid license and to refrain from drinking to remain free on her own recognizance.”

Police said Pratt, 23, was arrested at around 3:45 a.m. outside a nightclub in Los Angeles and taken into custody, with bail set at $5,000, according to Sergeant Mark Cohan of the Los Angeles Police Department. Before her arrest, Pratt was reportedly out with some fellow “Hills” stars at Empire, celebrating Holly Montag’s 26th birthday.

Pratt was released with a ticket later Sunday morning and was not required to post bail but will return for a court hearing, according to a spokesperson at the Van Nuys Division, where Pratt was held.

Shortly before heading out to the club, Pratt tweeted, “It’s my sissy @hollymontags bday party! Just finished dinner and going to Empire but I’m pretty tired aka yes i am the party pooper ”

Cohan said that he did not know the circumstances of the arrest and could not say whether Pratt was pulled over for another violation or if the stop was DUI-related.

Pratt was arrested in Hawaii in May of 2006, along with Hannah Owens-Bender, daughter of the director of ABC’s “Lost,” for second-degree theft and drug violations.

Pratt has spoken in the past about her struggles with bulimia and self-esteem issues, as well as her battles with substance abuse.
